Start with your system

The first install needs the internet to download the program and the model. The shared model plus image reader is about 3.4 GB, and on Windows without Ollama already installed the installer downloads about 5.1 GB in total.
Two choices are available: BOM AI Safe, the recommended default setup with an extra safety system prompt, and BOM AI Light, the standard model for everyday work. Details are on the Choose BOM AI page.

Running on your own computer does not make answers automatically correct — always check names, dates, numbers, and sources before relying on them.
